 "BAKED to PERFECTION." -Crackerdile, Book 1 Crackerdile, formerly know as Daryl, is the main antagonist of InvestiGators. Appearances[]Crackerdile: He is a beige crocodile-shaped cracker, he has a tail, 8 holes on his chest and he wears two yellow gloves on his hands and two purple boots on his feet. His body has a chunky shape. Waffledile: His body went from being composed of several crackers to only a waffle, he is brown, his torso is the waffle he has now become, his size is small, and compared to its previous form, he no longer wears gloves, boots or has a tail. Statuedile: Looks exactly as Waffledile, but now is made of concret, purely silver colored and bigger after the Embiggener effects. Rockodile: His entire body is now made of the fusion of the boulder buddies, he has a greenish tone with shine of the same coloration, he is big and his fingers and teeth are now curved instead of pointed, as well as he keeps the lack of his tail. Radioactidile: He is now a radioactive green mass, he does not have a specific shape apart from his head, face and arms, at the moment this has been his final form. Daryl (Original appearance):
When he was alive, his look was very different, He was a grey green crocodile with dark green spots in his legs, arms and face, his face was round shaped, his body and tail were slightly bigger than Brash's.
Personality[]He is cunning, ambitious, intelligent, extroverted, and somewhat manipulative, he acts to get what he wants or meet his goals, he tends to be easily controlled by his emotions, especially anger or judgment, he usually has trouble showing his emotions adequately, and sometimes assumes things without checking that he is right twice, although he also proves to be someone who is good at teamwork, doing his job effectively, and helping others. Biography[]Before book one events[]Daryl was one of the top agents of S.U.I.T, he was going to retire after his last mission at a Bakery, He and Brash were cracking down on a cracker company that was using nuclear waste in their saltines. Successfully they cracked the case, but Daryl stumbled onto a cat and fell into the radioactive dough, presumably to never be seen again. Later it is shown that, instead of dying, he fused with the dough, was baked into saltines, packaged and put into a truck; and thanks to the radiation (or high rise yeast) he grow bigger and fused with all the saltines together with his body to become Crackerdile. Because the truck that transported him was very far from the city, he had to walk on foot while his body was crumbling and the rats wanted to eat him, and when he could get there, he discovered that Brash already had a new partner, Mango, he became jealous and thought Brash got over him easily, so he decided to take revenge against his ex-partner. InvestiGators (Book 1)[]Crackerdile is established as one of the main villains in the saga, while Mango and Brash are in charge of solving the disappearance of Chef Gustavo, Crackerdile has him kidnapped in a sewer next to a stolen oven from Batter Down (bakery of which he owns) , forcing him to make a dough that is strong enough to get his body stable again. When he sees that Chef Gustavo does not give him the type of dough he wants, he gets angry, so Gustavo explains that he needs better ingredients to make the perfect dough that Crackerdile demands, Crackerdile gave Chef Gustavo the ingredients he requested, and Gustavo began to make the dough, Crackerdile told Gustavo his origin story and explained how the radiation allowed to have the shape he now has, but with the disadvantage that he was now weak to humidity and vermin. InvestiGators: Take the Plunge[]Crackerdile sees through one of their televisions how Mango and Brash stopped a rocket that contained the code for the combinotron, Crackerdile upon seeing this plans to obtain the combinotron and its code, to use it into himself and become stronger and more resistant, he also plans to steal a V.E.S.T from S.U.I.T headquarters to obtain all kinds of gadgets to help him fulfill his vengeance. He also he creates a group of villains he plans to use for his own benefit called "T.A.I.L Blazers". Later in the book after flooding the entire city and getting away with it, he decides to take advantage of the fact that it was night and the flood had already passed, there he meets Prime Robot, whom he tricks into working for him. He later has a confrontation with Mango and Brash over a V.E.S.T, in which he hugs Prime Robot and ends up stealing the V.E.S.T, but it also gets wet, causing it to turn into raw dough and fall down the sewer. Hookline and Slinker found him on the ground next to a sewer outlet, they took the opportunity to help him and join his villain team. InvestiGators: Off the Hook[]A hologram of him appears in a training simulation that Mango and Brash have at the beginning of the book, meanwhile, the real Crackerdile, with the help of Hookline and Slinker, tries to return to normal, rob a bank (unnecessarily) and hypnotize some workers to rebuild an abandoned opera house and use it as a T.A.I.L Blazers barracks. They then go to Mother of Waffles, where they put Crackerdile in a waffle maker, becoming Waffledile.But not satisfied with his new small size, he decides to go to the Science Factory to steal the Embigenner, with success, he transforms into a giant Waffledile, and creates chaos ove the city, the gators notice this and decide to fight, but Waffledile swallows Brash, and Mango in response covers him with cement, taking out Brash inside him, and turning him into in a statue that now is in the roof of Mother of Waffles. InvestiGators: A.N.T.S in Our P.A.N.T.S.[]He does not do many things in this book because he was turned into a statue, but a version of Daryl, of when he was alive, appears in Brash's mind when Mango is inside it, he protected a baby version of Brash from a evil monster, and after Mango manages to make Brash come back to normal so he could wake up from his coma, Daryl hugs Brash to say goodbye. In the confrontation that RoboBrash has with Maestronaut his memories of Daryl come back from seeing his stone remains on his hand. At the end of the book, the rubble of what was Statudile is taken to the dump, here, it comes into contact with toxic waste, with an open ending. InvestiGators: Braver and Boulder[]The remains of Daryl's body, now in the form of rocks, were found by Anjie in the dumpster, who called them "Boulder Buddies" and sold them as pet rocks, but what she did not know is that the green glow that they emanated was of radiation that the rocks obtained from a spill of radioactive waste that was in the same place, the rocks attacked Anjie in her own store, and dragged her towards the sewer with the intention of contacting her for help, but she fell unconscious, so the rocks just continued on their way into the sewers, where Mango and Brash found them, but they all managed to escape except for one. The rocks little by little were recovering their memory and physically returning to being Daryl, he decided to go to the location of the recording of Action News Now! (ANN) so that Cici (who was exactly making investigations about Brash at that time) would give him answers about his past. Effectively achieving this, and recovering his form becoming Boulderdile, he also discovered that the real person responsible for his death was Saul T. Byproducts, and decides that his revenge will now be towards him After causing a disaster for impulsively wanting revenge on Saul, and consecutively, again on Brash, the scientists with the help of Mango manage to get the radiation out of his rock body, only for the rocks to stop having life and Daryl being now a radioactive mass, becoming Radioactidile and starting melting MegaRoboBrash. The Investigators took the mecha to the ocean, where Daryl would slowly evaporate on contact with the water. There, Daryl and Brash talk together, and manage to make amends, with Daryl apologizing for all the bad acts he have done, ending with the complete evaporation of his body, and the possible definitive death of Daryl. In honor of the work that Daryl did when he was an agent, and his subsequent death, a photo of him next to one of RoboBrash was hung in SUIT's "Fountain of Fallen Agents". Agents of S.U.I.T (Book 1)[]The photo of him in the "Fountain of Fallen Agents" is shown in multiple occasions when Cilantro investigates and walks around S.U.I.T. InvestiGators Scavenger Hunt Game[]In the third mission it is mentioned that he have escaped (highly referring to book 2 events), the player is asked to find all the clues that are in the area (the sewer), among which is a photo of him and crumbs from his body. InvestiGators: Animated Series[]In the series teaser, his silhouette can be seen after kidnapping Gustavo for few seconds. In the seventh episode entitled "Crackerdile's Crackdown", the beginning of book two is recreated, with Crackerdile angry and giving a monologue while looking through one of the sewer's control cameras as Mango and Brash are interviewed. He also makes a small appearance in the end of the second teaser of the series, in which he laughs evilly as a shadow obscures him. Trivia[]
